Uffda. I had a female Collie when I was first married a hundred years ago, intending to have her spayed at six months. We had a fenced yard and I "never" let her out unattended when she came into heat. Sigh. She had ten puppies and I swear no two had the same sire. Males will dig under fences, jump over, climb over, breed THROUGH, and build airplanes and parachute in to get to a b*tch in heat. Lesson learned. Females spayed BEFORE fourth-month birthday. And males neutered, too. I lost my favorite male because he got out and went carousing and got hit by a truck. I spay and neuter everybody. I'm not in the breeding business.

That's how Peach's litter was. There was her and another one with the short german coat and that coloring, couple with rottie coats, couple with retriever coats....I never realized that puppy litters could have different sires in the same litter!

Its harder to keep a female but its easier to keep a male contained. I prefer to wait til A year for development

Same here Blue. Lady I got frosty from said she was just coming into heat. Found out she was pregnant by her brother. I took her to my vet who said no shes not pregnant so I got her an appt to get spayed right away and they said she was. Their policy was to spay no matter .

well good thing she did get a spay abort. Imagine those sibling puppies running around. They'd be stupid
