Granny's gone and done it again

That's why I'm not a breeder. The cost alone of getting GOOD breeding stock! And the time and effort of becoming knowledgeable about genetics, yikes! And to just breed casually without doing the homework? Nuh-uh. Not when 3 million or so dogs are put down every year bc there aren't enough homes for them, and a good percent of those are purebred, many of them AKC registerable? No. Just, no.

My goal would be to create a line of UKC colored poodles for sports & conformation.. I don't know if it will happen though...

I will warn you, I know this is very true with shepherds, but working/sports lines and confirmation lines are often two very separate things.

I would never ever ever touch a confirmation/show line german shep with a ten foot pole. working line....eek. Maybe if I have more time on my hands lol.

Can't do confirmation with a white coat though, so Goose is going to be obedience or other if we do anything AKC.

I know lots of people who's show likes or conformation dogs also do sports.

Shepherds can too, but AKC has kinda ruined them. They are the most freaking versatile dog around. Scent work? got it. Herding? can do! protection? you betcha! I contemplate trying goose with agility when he's a bit older too...

Poodles...I wonder with the rise in the doodle craze, if there's going to be dilution in the lines, and probably more disreputable breeders out there cashing in on popularity.

Is he show line? What type?

The rise in the doodles has only angered the living sh*t out of reputable poodle breeders. The "dilute" colors have always been around, and by the most part, looks like the doodle peeps are obsessed with red.. my sables and phantoms remain untouched
