Granny's gone and done it again

Well the recipe starts with 5 gallons of peeled, cored and sliced cukes
I need a LOT more pots. LOL Star ate over half of my cukes last yr but they were so bitter I didnt really mind.

try slicing and then rubbing the cut off end against the cut part of the cuke until white sappy stuff comes out, then slice that part off, HELPS pull out some/most of the bitterness.

I think I tried that on one of them. I didnt have many left at the time.
 
I miss her cooking. I was thinking about those cabbage rolls the other day and I could almost taste them.

I have a recipe for cabbage roll caseroll that doesn't require you to wrap the meat with cabbage leaves, just shred the cabbage and do some other stuff to it. Taste almost identical and MUCH easier.
