the Vet will be out on the 27th to pg test the girls to see just who is an isn't expecting.

Well there is now 2 less to test. I am hoping we can get the little thru the chute and sex and tag them with mom's name
. Both Hailey and Granola are pretty laid back.

I wonder if Curly will stay friendly as a mama or turn protective. Sure would be nice to have tame yaks. Might be worth more for people who want pack yaks.

I was so upset about Porter dying. Kind of threw a wrench in your breeding program too.

Well Porter was about at the end of his "usefullness" since I did NOT want him breeding his daughters. Tibits is the father of both of these as the Golden bull didn't escape the vestial virgins until this Jan.

I haven't decide it Curly joins the main herd this year or not. She has some more growing to do first same with Orphan Annie. Solstinox can join any time. AND I think her year mate Gold Mein can as well. Mein is NOT related to Tibbits BUT is to Golden Myles as they share the same father and their mothers are actually mother daughter.

That's what I would want to do. I loved working with the foals. Even the few meat cows we had were tame. I rode on one's back. She didn't mind. Herefords.

Nope he is for sale related to way to many of the older girls and heifers. I am going to try and sell him with 3 or 4 heifers as a starter herd.

We had a few brood mares that were more like refugees. Head shy and so jumpy and nervous, poor things. They were treated so poorly at the track. To this day, I can't stand Thoroughbred racing.

Will have to start looking for a "new" herd bull , I could use Haya-Swather in a year or to I think. BUT, want to expand the bloodlines. May have to try and trade Tibbits and a bunch of young bull calves and try to save some money that way.
