Granny's gone and done it again

Has anyone here ever made or heard of Navajo tacos? I made some for dinner tonight. I rolled out canned biscuits into 8" circles and fried them in hot oil till browned and puffy for the fry bread and used them as the base for the "tacos." Topped them with all the goodies: ranch-style beans, lettuce, cheese, onions, salsa, sour cream... no meat today. They were really good! My guys loved them. Finished off the hummingbird cake afterward.

The Good NEWS

Twisty is "open" so hopefully she can get on a more normal calving cycle.

MIXED NEWS

Sonny aka "crazy/killer yak" is due "soon"

BAD NEWS

Granny had decide to take yet ANOTHER vacation from motherhood.

The young golden cow is also 'open"

Maiah is due "summer" or earlier. THANK GOD no Sept or Oct calves this year.

TIBBITS is the sire of all of this years calves I think/suspect.

LALALALALALALALAL she says with fingers in her ears...no wait, eyes covered with hands...no wait, can't type then. Well heck.

Anyway, I've got hen #1 in the broody buster cage, ready to come out tomorrow I hope because #2 is waiting in the wings to go in. There is a third who hasn't gone over to the dark side yet but somebody is going to offer her a cookie I just feel it in me bones!
All of my Jubilee Orpingtons jammed into a nest box made for polish! Including the rooster! No wonder eggs get crushed! I need to move them.
