I sold my Tolbunt hens for $60 each, the rooster for $45. Got $40 for a dozen eggs. Sold my trio of Calico bantam cochins for $70. I saw some bloody droppings from some of the younger birds so I didn't sell any chicks in case they all got sick. Like I said, it was quite cold for them

Did you sell more then you came home with?

Yes, sold 2 more of my breeding stock of rabbits as well, plus a bunch of Light Brahma youngsters.
I bought one polish pullet, a splash about 4 months old. Happy to have company for the lonely hen in quarantine. No other live things. Did buy an old metal garbage can for feed.

I went out to mow some. My mower broke off a piece where it keeps the grass from flying every where. I was coated . Kept getting in my eyes. This is so frustrating.

That’s a bummer. Hope it can be fixed.

I dont want to take it in to be repaired because its 14 yrs old and doesnt have any power.

I actually wanted Black Australorps but I only wanted 7 total. 6 pullets and 1 cockerel but all the hatcheries charge an extra fee for anything under 15 chicks so I found these JBG at my local feed store. I had to get straight run so I ended up getting 10 hoping for more pullets than cockerels.

I think we ordered 10 BA pullets and 6 BA cockerels, and guess what. We got exactly what we ordered, imagine that! I think they threw in 2 or 3 extra cockerels but they died the first week. We put the cockerels in the freezer, they were a bit lean and the meat was kind of dark but they were quite good.

LOL Robert thinks we could drill it on. IDK Maybe someone could but not me.

Let him try it. Washers and lock nuts would keep it on. Hubs did something similar with our old one.
