Our son and daughter in law moved in..thank the Heavens. They have an adorable 2 year old. That brings a lot of laughter into the home. I used to work as a CNA years ago. I worked with folks with Dementia...his is Alzheimer's. Little did I know I would be helping my husband...he also has prostate cancer. A very slow moving cancer. Also in Stage 3 kidney failure. Will see what will take him first..if not a stroke. He's had a mini stroke. This hospice nurse says about a year from now. I said.. maybe two? She says... possibly. It's hard to watch him disappear. Finally found a man that treated me like a lady. Glad I got to experience that.Do you take care of husband by yourself? Do you have backup or respite? That's quite a challenge. I took care of a dear lady with Alzheimer's for a while. Her daughter was terminal with oral cancer. After a while another daughter came to help, then two more sibs. We had our hands full caring for both of them. I loved those ladies so much. But I could never have done it alone. No one can!
