Okay! Thanks for your help. Is there any diseases that can be spread from chickens to goats or vice versa? Googling it seems to be mainly salmonella.Well it pees abnormally, but seems ok otherwise. I have never owned one, but have seen them. If one parent is polled, the offspring may be polled. All my girls are half sisters.
Going out to set up another water source for the goats and spray down the chicken runs. Bbl
Did you used to have a gallon waterer? Or a nipple feeder? They make watering them so much easier. I switch it out about 2 times a week. I will try to get photos later, it’s amazing. It’s a 5 gallon bucket and we have a flock of 25. Less chickens would mean less refilling.I have wanted some for a long while but I fear Im not able to care for them. I dont have chickens anymore. I really miss them too. I was having a hard time watering them and I guess goats would be the same thing.
Oh…yeah, in colder areas, that would be awful…mine was pans of water. I had 5 gallon water too. Winter was the worst.
I see what you mean now…I know some people have heated waterers too, but those may be hard to maintainmine was pans of water. I had 5 gallon water too. Winter was the worst.
I had heated waters. The hose had to be drained/blown out every time I used it and I fell a couple times out there. It was just getting dangerous for me. Predators came and wiped 2 flocks out save a couple birds so I decided it was time to stop.I see what you mean now…I know some people have heated waterers too, but those may be hard to maintain
