We take a portion out of every check, even my SS $, and put it in a separate savings account. It has saved our (turkey) bacon a time or two, for emergencies, so we didn't have to take out a loan when something needed fixed. Like GirlChild's car last winter, whew!

because we get medicaid I cant do that. All resources count against us. I cant afford to lose insurance
