Goid morning Grannyland, and I have good news!!!!
Our injured hen (neighbor's dog a few weeks back) as of this morning is no longer an in-house ICU patient! She has healed to the point that she was released this morning to the outside infirmary, aka grow-out pen, woohoo! We do not want to put her in Gen Pop until we are sure George cannot re-injure that area and make it subject to flystrike again. The wound is clean and dry and feathers are growing over it to cover, hide and protect it. The pen she is in is also a see-no-touch pen so will make it easy to re-integrate her with the flock in a week or so. So happy we were able to save her!

No, my Mom took me to a school where I could start early, my birthday is in Dec. and their cut off date was different than our local one. Mom was a teacher in that system.

I’m babysitting, making a birthday cake, and cleaning a house for an appraisal.

I'm working now because I covered a shift but she's covering me tomorrow so i don't have to close before my 1st day at school

Took my shower and got the chills. brr... Gonna have to add my sweater to my night gown. hahaha It was so hot out today.

Temps in the high 80s or low 90s today, heat index 105 or so. Going to be like this and higher all week. Ice water bottles for the chickens again! Still getting 10 to 12 eggs a day. Such good girls!
