The Man and I have devoured nearly two loaves, and the other two are sliced and downstairs in the freezer. I did put some whole wheat and bread flour in them.

I dont buy the clumping kind. Cheaper this way I think.Must you lift it? I just scoop mine with a thing sorta like a slotted spoon, put the solids and clumps in a walmart bag, and toss it. Add a little fresh litter and bam, I'm done.
Some employers intentionally keep schedules just a few hrs short of full time so they don't have to provide benefits.

I don't have to, it stays in the fridge. I do have to feed it occasionally but I don't really have to make anything with it. I think I can ignore it for a couple of weeks if I have to. Still learning, though. This starter dates back to about 1874, I got it from @ronott1.20 years! Wow, I cant imagine. How often do you have to make bread in order for it to stay good?
