Tally is small compared to Keeper and they are both sprockers.

Yes Keeper was the first when we still had Mac the old terrier. Then we got Tally about 18 months later. We lost Mac Christmas just gone but he was 16 and had a good innings. The house is never a dull moment with 2 crazy spaniels in it!

Yes. Harry will probably buck you off when he is done with being ridden.

I was thinking about fish next but then I think about lots of things next... it was a worm farm yesterday and the other week I nearly came home with a Russian hamster from the pet shop. I have to be kept in check!

I too have not added to my flock as they have died off. 7 of my 9 remaining polish are 7 years old now. I’ve had a few ex layer hens from the local farm but they never last with their poor reproductive systems. A rat got most of my quail so I re-homed the last few.

It’s so sad isn’t it when the animals you love grow old and I really understand how you feel about your cocker

I want a hairless cat but I don’t need any more critters. I am hatching some eggs from my lone frizzle polish. Is frizzle dominator straight? I picked out only the smaller white eggs. It will be interesting to see what I get. Rooster is a blue EE.

The old timers called the liquid on top hooch and drank it!

I add a quarter cup of flour to the starter out of the fridge and stir it in and leave it on the counter. after several hours, it will bubble. I use it then to make bread.

After taking out the starter for the recipe, I will discard enough to leave a cup in the jar and then add a cup of flour and a cup of water.

Starter does get gloppy! Do you have a nice jar for the starter now?

Is it alcoholic?

I'm dealing with Empty Nest Situation. It is not much fun cooking for just The Man and myself. Especially right now when it's so hot and he's happy to just eat sandwiches and I never eat much anyway. By Tuesday it seems we already have a fridge full of leftovers. Booorrrring.

You should cook double batches then freeze half for days you don’t want to cook.

Don't hairless cats require a really warm environment? My house is way too cold, I think. Winter and summer both. Lol, it's too cold for me most of the time!

Good idea. Only I'd just need to cook a regular batch and freeze half!

Did they retest for Lymes, ehrlichia, and other tick borne diseases? My sister's dog got ehrlichia and it ended up being chronic. Dog would be fine for months or a year and then subtle symptoms would occur, including lethargy. Dog needed a course of antibiotics to knock it back.
Ehrlichia in dogs is more similar to Lymes in people.

Once you get Lyme disease, you are always positive. Part of the reason I believe it doesn't go away. But I do think I may have another tick borne disease. The doctor didn't want to test for those. He said no point because the Rx is the same for all of them.
