Robert trimmed some trees for me and used SILs electric chain saw to cut a couple trees down. Neither one of us have ever used one before. He did really good. I asked to use it and he said are you afraid of it? I said NO! He said then no, you shouldnt use it. anyway, The pretty silver maple that was too close to the house is gone . and another maple (blaze) is trimmed back a lot. It was a multi limbed trunk and now its not!

I planted a silver leaf maple on this place once. It done great for 2 or 3 years, beautiful. Then the next year it started trying to die off. I call the county extension agent out and did all he recommended to no avail. I paid another tree expert to come out
He put several Iron plugs in the trunk.
It still died. I let it stay in the ground for a year then just pushed it over.

ohh sorry to hear that. Never heard of someone putting plugs IN the tree. Must of been a last ditch effort. This one looked great. Probably around 8 yrs old. About 10ft. from the front porch

I had soup beans for the 3rd day in a row now. I think Im about done with those. Maybe enough left to freeze if I have any room . Would make some good chili later on.

Well Evidently Gene is in ICU on life support, They are getting all the family there and then pulling the tube. Then if he makes it great if not he's probably in a better place.
