It’s funny cause a quick Google shows eureka as being very liberal. Could be the further out of town you get the more conservative. Shrug. All I know is it is deep pot growing area. Very conservative also. Believe in guns and defending your property. People don’t like you in their business. Small town mentality. Watch some of the documentary on pot growing up there.
So sorry for your loss. I have no grandmothers, grandfathers, or aunts, or uncles left.My great grandma passed away the other night

It is a constant 65F there with mostly cloudy days.Wow. So just for poops and grins I looked on Humboldt County's website for job openings.
....either they don't know how to take down job postings once they're filled or they have a heck of a time attracting talent. So much potential for me, and that's only looking at public sector....
Hubs just submitted his resume to the dealership that was showing interest. We'll see what comes of that (although he said admittedly he's got a few months before he could start up there anyway which is true - give us time to sell/pack up/settle our things here....also I will need some time at my job still - for obvious reasons.
I feel like he's either having second thoughts or trying not to jinx anything. Now he's concerned after we go visit there in November it's going to be a poophole or something (well, ok, granted November isn't really the BEST time of year to go there....but...)
So who knows. Maybe we'll get there...and it will be a cesspool and we won't want anything to do with it. Maybe we'll get up there and it won't be so bad.
Granny - check with medicare themselves. OK, that may be begging for time on hold but...just see.
Going to try panning in rivers where there were old gold mines. There are also places where you pay $100 a year to pan on their claims.I hope they dont lose my plants. Where were you going to pan for gold at?
That would be sweater weather for me.It is a constant 65F there with mostly cloudy days.
There are a lot of Victorian houses in Eureka.
