I would recommend Easter Eggers. These are my ladies. They all lay blue. The white ones were bred this year. Hoping they will lay green.

I would recommend Easter Eggers. These are my ladies. They all lay blue. The white ones were bred this year. Hoping they will lay green.

Next, I recommend Welsummers. Easter Eggers are mutts, Welsummers are a heritage breed and are purebreds.

If you want a breed that lives longer, but lays less eggs, Easter Eggers are a good choice. Same for Welsummers.

However, sexlinks lay well (typically daily), but they tend to not live very long. My sexlinks are going on their second year and seem to be fine, but most say they are not long live-ers.

They are! I especially love Puffle. She is the one sleeping on the door.

And Truffle. She is the one that is white with red leakage on her back. She is going to be real pretty.
