My 63 yo sister passed away night before last unexpectedly, she had elective surgery to repair the valve between esophagus & stomach, they nicked her intestines unknowingly & she became septic before they knew what happened, went into cardiac arrest & died. I couldn't sleep last night cause my eyes hurt from crying all day.sorry if too much info.

Vascular disease is any abnormal condition of the blood vessels (arteries and veins). The body uses blood vessels to circulate blood through itself. Problems along this vast network can cause severe disability and death. Vascular diseases outside the heart can “present” themselves anywhere.

Including the brain. My husband had Alzheimer's/Vascular Dementia. They could see he'd had a mini stroke.

Im already on 2 blood thinners. Stop smoking , diet and surgery is all I know.

Glad you stopped that smoking. That's great on you! I know it's a hard thing to do!
