Why the heck did they give you an antidepressant? For quitting? Crazy. I tried it back in the 80's..dumb..I'm in my 30's by then. Glad it didn't stick. Sorry Granny, it's a tough one. When one is ready, really ready to quit, then it happens. If you're not, you're not. Drs know this.

I think the quitting aids are all anti depressants. Not sure how that works but hey.
Granny if you’re afraid to go cold turkey try cutting back. Make a journal of when you’re having your smokes and see if there’s another activity at that time to keep your hands and mind occupied instead - use the distractions until it becomes habit to not light up so often.

It makes sense. I got caught up on drinking too much. Took me years to quit. Last drink was in 1991.

Things were probably really different back then though. I wonder what happens if one tries to quit without medication? It probably would work, but it would be really hard.
