Granny's gone and done it again

Lol that he most certainly is! He’s still young too - almost a year and a half - so the crazy puppy energy is still strong.

Yeah. CDC updated guidance. Now it’s five days.
I got nothin anymore.
Awwww mines about 8 1/2 has a little limp is his right front leg but he loves goung to the beach and chasing balls

I was coming home and a cow came running right towards my van. I managed to miss him but I almost got Tboned.
You'd love it out here then Granny. Four legged and two legged things are always in the road here and every time you crest a hill you don't know what you will encounter. Goats in the road? Yep, Stop by the Amish Goat Dairy and tell the kids to go round up their goats. Horse loose? Yep, tried to coax it to come home with me. Didn't fall for it. Peacocks? Yep. If you find a peacock in the road it's generally because the Amish owner has a lot of sons and they are starting to court a prospective bride. When a young man declares his intentions he gives the girl a peacock tail feather.

Pigs. Almost hit a 400 pound at least sow in the road one day. If I had I would have been taking home the bacon for sure.

One day was out in the yard with DH and here came an angus cow strolling down the road. Just ambling along looking around. I looked at DH and said 'Now that's something you don't see every day'. She strolled by and disappeared from sight. I still wonder where she was heading and what she was looking for.

Not long after we moved in we were outside and heard horse hooves coming down the gravel road. Lots of them. Suddenly a herd of about 30 horses come thundering down the road being followed by a couple of Amish cowboys on horseback that were driving them along. They swerved and started up our driveway. When that happened I jumped up and down, clapped my hands and said 'FOR ME?' to my DH. They weren't for me. Drats.

Funniest was the day I was driving down the blacktop, crested a hill and encountered a flock of about 50-75 guineas strolling down the road like they owned it. Squawking their way to god knows where. I finally had to honk the horn so I could get them to split so I could proceed but I must have crept along behind them for a quarter of a mile laughing my head off at them.

Only in Missouri? Never been t-boned by a walking T-Bone yet so I guess not.

Turd Ferguson had my toe in his mouth right before I took this. Camera comes out and of course he moved. Lol. He’s got itchy teeth again - destroyed two toys tonight (it’s been awhile since he’s done that) so I had to remind him he had chompier toys (bones/benebones/antlers) He’s currently knocking a benebone around.

Been an interesting time lately. Rain rain and more rain, but the creek hasn’t flooded so we haven’t had to yoink anyone out (yet). Expecting even more rain to hit tomorrow. Mother in law’s house sale fell out, so then they actually listed it, got some bidding wars going and got a good chunk over asking. Set to close third week in January but they get to “rent it back” for another month so they don’t need to be out til mid/later February. She wants to move to Arizona to be closer to her grand baby - and was lamenting that it would be nice if all her kids moved out to Arizona.

Sorry mil. Not upending my life to go to Arizona when uh. You live in the same town as us now and…yeah. She wants us to take her 18 year old outdoor barn cat…and take a couple of her chickens too. Chickens I don’t mind (although she did get offended when I said I’d need to set something up to quarantine em - had to backtrack and say of course they’re fine but I can’t just throw them in with my flock or else there will be heck to pay with sorting out the pecking order)

Sigh. My chickens are all ok - mucky from the rains but ok. I should have cleaned freaking tractor supply out from stall pellets before this all started but I didn’t realize how long this rain band would go on for!

Work is going to be crazy in the new year - so disclaimer if I go silent again that will likely be why - work hours and running the house will do that.

Sigh.
We're getting your, wet, as snow here. :)
