Granny's gone and done it again

same here. My GM rocked! She used to walk the RR tracks to pick up coal so they would have some heat and she made moonshine on her stove . She would trade her sugar for flour . I wish I knew more about her. I lived with her for a couple years. Then after I had left home she lived with my mom til she passed. She was born 1899 and died 1992
Those are nice Memories!

I do miss my Grand Parents and other older relatives from that time.

me too she was a special lady. Never cut her hair, wore dresses and bonnets most the time with an apron on. Lots of good memories. First chicken I ever had was there at that old house. It used to be a chicken coop!

Afternoon everyone

I set here this morning waiting for my doctor to call for a tele-appointment. Omicron is so bad here that you can't swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting somebody trying to hack a lung out from it. I figured I'd pushed my luck with being exposed to crap in general since September (where the woman across the hall from me in the ER had the big Covid) that I'd better lay low again until this latest variant died down.

He was an hour late then forgot what I had called about....a refill on my pain meds please. thank you.:he

Y'all are so lucky to have had your grandparents in your life. My dad's mom lived a thousand miles away in Pennsylvania and in all honesty wasn't a very likeable person. She gave my father up for adoption when he was 7 for reasons only she knew. They 'reconciled' later in life but there was never any real closeness.

My mother's mother died when my mom was 13. Funny story. She was a ummm well, she was a madam. Mom's stepmother was another cold distant person much like my paternal grandmother. My mom's dad was a child molester so mom kept us at a distance from them.

My dad's dad disappeared when my dad was little. Went out for a beer at the corner pub and never came back. All anyone can find to fill in the blank years was his death certificate.

I used to chew out my friends who would complain about having to visit their grandparents. What treasures they can be.

I do a lot of work with resin. I use it to coat my sculptures and jewelry creations to give it a nice finish, bit of strength, and protection. Plus I also make a lot of resin creations to make pendants, earrings, etc…
Well show us some?

yes you told us that Star, what will she do with all her critters?
Is your DH any better ?
She already rehomed the horses…and I think I spotted them up the street from me sadly. The chickens I fear will end up with me. 18 year old outdoor kitty we’re not sure. She rehomed one of the dogs, her malenois and one of her aussies will stay with her, husky goes with the ex.
Pharmacy finally got the paperwork needed for Toms ensure. Now have to wait for insurance to make a decision. This has been in the works for close to 3 months now.
Ugh. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

Sooo I should get to cleaning house. Mil may or may not be swinging by just to escape tonight.
