We got #2 a cheap micro for his dorm. Using that now and it works great. We don't cook with them, just for heating.

I installed the last one. It was pretty hard. Too tight a fit. I couldnt do that now I dont guess. I have really gotten weak.

Depends on if you have a gas stove. I think yours is electric? You don't need any sort of vent with an electric, but you might want something to keep the house from permanently smelling like dinner.

yes its electric. I rarely cook so it may not be a big deal but I really like the light from it. I used that often.

probably get a light for $10.00 or less. Still need to take the microwave down but thats ok. I think they can do that

That's a good quick fix to just get a light. You can always get a hood in the future if you miss it.
