I'm so sorry. Glad you have some family close. If there are no bad side effects, maybe you should increase your dose... at least until spring. I think things get even harder when the days are so short. Sunshine is good therapy.

cynthia, How long have you been on 10 mg.? Its like every other med. Your body gets used to it over time.
Funny, I was on 20 when my sister died then when my mom passed they upped it to 40. thats max dose of that stuff. I think you should talk to your dr. If your having more bad days then good.

Well this opened my brain waves. I just went to look at my bottle. I don't pay attention lately. I'm taking 20mg. It says 40, but I half them.

so the dr thinks your on 40? You are taking them every day right?

No, I told him that I half them. He's just kept the same prescription. Actually, different Dr...the other one retired, but this guy knows too. I really like him.

And yes, I take it in the morning. Every day, for years.

the way celexa works is it takes 2 weeks to get fully into your system and if you skip doeses its just not going to work well. You also cant just stop taking them. you have to be weaned off. Since its already in your system the increased dose would probably work faster then that

Yes, I've accidentally forgotten a couple of times. Couldn't figure out why I felt so crappy. Then it hit me. I'm really good at remembering now. ')

call your dr in the AM and tell him you dont think the 20 is working as well as it used to and you would like to increase dosage. He shouldnt have a problem with that. That med. really helped me. Then I needed more and 40 is max so they started me on abilify
