A zucchini PLANT or two was what I meant, my enthusiastic friend! And if you ever want your z-squash to stop being so prolific, it's simple, just stop picking the fruit! All it wants to do is produce seed. So let it grow a big fat zuke as big as your leg and it'll stop production.

tried that as well, ON the bright side the yaks and chickens enjoy zuchinni and I have LOTS of recipes for them.

My previous attempts at z-squash a few years back resulted in failure due to those nasty shield bugs sucking the life out of the stems. Hoping the hens have cleaned up all the bugs. I'm going to fence the hens out of that section of the garden this year and hope for the best.
