Granny's gone and done it again

I think I messed up ....
When I ordered these chicks, I thought most of my older birds were two and three years old and I was going to send them to freezer camp. Did some researching and realized most of them are only yearlings! 😱 Oh, chicken math, you got me good!

Well I hope Twist got his chicks today. They been in the mail for a few days.

he did and they weren't doing great. WHOLE bunch sort of laid out flat managed to 'revive" all but 2 and then checked a couple hours later and one more had given up the ghost. BUT Cackle did send 4 extra I believe. So still up on the count.

The mystery calf is Granola's so BOTH of Granny's daughters calved. IT's a little solid/native. Idiot helper and the the whole white tail thing turned out to be Sunny's calf and only 1/2 of the tail is white. SO --so far 2 native/solids and 2 trims.

I "sort of forgot" to call/ bring Erv out with me. I do have pics of the yaks and some of all the snow in drifts STILL and the sort of mild flooding from the run off. HUGE area drains thru my property. They are calling for 1 to 3 inches of rain thru Sunday and snow a couple of those nights/days as well.

NOT complaining considering that the vast majority of moisture had soaked in and the stock ponds still aren't full yet.
