Yes, if she was still alive, she would’ve celebrated her first birthday in June. Now, obviously, that wouldn’t be happening. Doubt it was a liver issue given the absence of any symptoms/lethargy. I am glad she didn’t suffer either. I tell myself not to pick favorites, but that’s like telling me to not pet my dog!! Some chickens are just better, what in the world am I supposed to do?! The universe can’t expect me to love 5 Welsummers that look IDENTICAL as much as I love a watermelon monster that, mind you, lays beautiful olive eggs. It won’t and can’t happen!

I know I had my favorites. I loved the leghorns. They were the friendliest birds! Me and some birds...years ago. Note where the leghorn is. They were all like this.
