I've actually done it for more than a split second, getting more and more frustrated and aggravated, until the person I'm talking to asks what's wrong, and I say, I can't find my phone! And they say, Your phone? You mean the one you're talking to me on?

Oh oh. That has got to be embarrassing.

I had a funny/painful experience a few days ago. I was using a metal pole with a net on the end to get something out of the pond. While I was fishing around, my arms jerked up and I suddenly smacked my face with the pole. I was still trying to figure out why I did that, when it happened again. And again. And again.
It happened a total of 5-6 times before I realized the issue, the end of the pole was resting on the high voltage electric fence meant for bears.
