As long as they aren't going to grind down the teeth that it attaches to, like they do for a bridge. Those end up causing more problems.

When you pull a tooth, the teeth on either side can slowly move out of place or tip sideways, and all of the teeth can eventually shift a bit. Then when you bite down, the top don't match up with the bottom teeth and that can cause a whole new set of problems.

Kind of like the thing you showed but permanent. They grind down the good teeth on either side which compromises them.
