Lol not packed yet because SoCal is the devil we know. Want to make sure a move we make would be good for us instead of jumping into the pool before making sure there’s water in it.

My tomato plant is doing zilch. I think I'll pull it. Cherry tomatoes. . My yellow squash on the other hand! I'll have some to eat soon.

I only have the one tomato plant. Love yellow squash fried in bacon grease with onions.

Background: I have no fear of moving. I grew up a base brat so was shuffled around Canada, and moved down here to be with hubs. Sooo....moves don't scare me.

They used to scare hubs though. But that was when his mom and step dad lived in the same town (seriously dysfunctional relationship but still had that feeling of security I guess) and he did grow up here....but friends drift away etc etc.

I also grew up .. as an Air Force brat. Moved around a lot with my stepdad. Also, a very serious, toxic relationship. Was so glad when she finally left him for good..out in Florida. We moved to Utah. Been here since.

I had quinoa for the very first time today. Wow, so much better than plain old rice. Also finally cleaned the goat pen and restocked on loose minerals. Rosie died this past week...pretty much the same day buyers took the pigs. Rosie is one of the OGs in my flock, a red sexlink, and the one that had crop issues earlier this year. 2 more chickens decided to go broody during fair week and still have to send the cockerels to freezer camp. Chickens are so much more work than goats...imo atleast.
