well the "deed is done', was 98* and full sun for the wedding and yet somehow the food (chinese) was luke warm.

Apparently people are calling only to find that their pigs are NOT at the slaughterhouse, or in any of the two slaughterhouses in the area, for that matter. Hammie was bought by a private buyer so she’s not an issue. Chris, however, might be quote on quote "missing". Guess we'll see how this goes...might get a little messy.

Oh I forgot to post I lost a chicken today too. It was Rainboe, one of my 8-month old pullets. No clue what happened to her. Just found her lying down dead at the base of the redbud tree. It wasn't even that hot today and I saw no evidence of trauma. She looked fine this morning, dammit. They all look fine.

Reminds me of Poppy's death.

Morning all, I forgot to give Tom his meds and shot last night. He had a rough night. I feel terrible over it. I gotta do better.
Sign on fridge this morning,
Do dishes, do cat litter or call dr.
so far I called the dr. cant get in til aug.2nd. Does that mean no cat litter til then? hahaha
He doesnt do it because hes bossy, he does it to help me remember. At least thats what Im telling myself.

You give him shots and meds every night? Perhaps we can remind you too. Not to be bossy of course

You did right by her, Granny. It's a hard thing to do, but the most loving. It takes a strong heart to not let our faithful companions suffer and to release them when it's time. She'll always live in your heart and the two of you were blessed to have had each other.
