It's hard to tell at this age. Especially so if you don't know who the parents/potential parents are.

Not the best pics, but couple of quail families are digging around just off the patio. 2 sizes of chicks. Santa came to check them out.

Oh my gosh. I'm dying to see some quail chicks! Have seen them here twice so far, but they sure are quick little guys..ran away before anything interesting happened. :/
