Granny's gone and done it again

My yearling hens, mostly EE, look like they've just weathered Hurricane Ian and then flown home non-stop. They are going through a HARD molt, poor things. If one hen even gets close to another's personal space, there will be screaming and angry flapping. They all have a case of the ugly Don't-Touch-Me's! So right now I'm doing good to get 5 eggs out of 25 "layers," lol! Poor babies.

The dogs have to get their share of cracked corn and mealworms, but black cat Princess Diva, well ... the only thing I can figure is, she thinks she is the hostess of the afternoon tea party. She is carefully making sure everybody plays nice and gets their fair share. Welcome to our Funny Farm!

ETA: The black "spots" you see scattered around are walnuts from the walnut tree just overhead.

There was a young deer on hwy 501. I was going 55, in the right lane, when the cars in the left lane stopped. I veered right, and missed the poor thing that was staggering, trying to get off the road. Likely hit in the road on the other side, going North.
I saw a coyote, 2 deer and a rabbit on our short dirt road on my way home tonight..! Daryl hasn't been seeing much during the day.
