I always think we should get a rebate when the power is off.

I'd even be happy for a temporary rate decrease. Rates go way up after 4pm... which is when it's supposed to come back on. We all need showers, hot water heater needs to catch up, fridge and freezer will come on too. We would have done things early to avoid the extra cost.

A helicopter has been buzzing the neighborhood... visual inspection of every line, the last step before they turn the power back on. Dad said they already did around his place, but the area is huge and who knows how much is left to do. With luck it might come on early.
