Currently we have a LOVELY soaking rain BUT supposed to turn to snow latter tonight.

Sammy started barking like crazy last night about midnight. It was his Intruder Alert alarm. I turned the light on and jumped/fell out of bed to see. There was a tiny little dead critter on the floor the cat had brought in. I thought it was half a mouse but it was just a tiny one. I went to pick it up with a paper towel but Sammy was afraid it might hurt me (I guess) and he got real upset trying to keep me away from it. I almost thought he was going to bite me! We argued about it a bit but I had my cane and used it to back him off. I finally got it cleaned up and he calmed down. Seriously it wasn't even an inch long! Stupid cat for bringing it in and leaving it there, and stupid dog for the rest of it. Stupid me for having stupid animules!

Star is already fetching and bringing back her toys when I throw them.

well the opossum is gone. I went out to make sure before I let the dogs out. Hopefully no bad dreams. hahaa It sure was ugly.

Did you check to see if it was under the van?

Turns out there is a persimmon bush in my flower garden. Has anyone ever eaten them?

They are very astringent unless dead ripe, will pucker you right up. Opossums love them so we never get any!
