Is deafness common in yaks? Related to white coloring?

it seems to be in "issue" in Royals only. Iyak did a test at their annual show in Denver last year or the one before it.. Percentages were high but then they were testing only suspected/issue animals. More were just deaf in one ear then totally deaf.

SIL just called. SD is in the hospital. Bumped her head where her shunt is. They have her in a neck collar and she cant stop dry heaving even with meds. She cant even talk.
