Maybe has more to do with market prices. People will pay more for bacon because they like it. Greed? Maybe. It's a business that supports many more people than those who sell the end product. If no one is willing to pay the high cost, then prices will come down.

well I got my annual 7-way injection yesterday.

Ended up with 3 helpers and Sonny is DEFINITEY going to freezer camp some time in the next month. I sort of want her to "dry up" and the herd settle down a bit first.

the new calf is definitely Nuggets , very small and Nugget is 'deflated" I suspect she was also the one who aborted that calf back in the end of sept. The calf is TINY

So had 13 test pg, lost a calf to breech birth, lost both mom and calf before it was born and then the fetus. SO should have 10 calves BUT NO this is twisted acres so I have 11 calves.
