Granny's gone and done it again

Ad asked me if I was at risk of monkey pox. Uh, no. I don't know any monkeys.
dr told Tom and I we needed a booster from one of our childhood vacs. Pretty sure this is what it was.
Monkeypox is an orthopoxvirus. It is related to variola, the orthopoxvirus that causes smallpox.

Hi MC, Its been a long min. Im doing ok I guess. How about you? Im glad you told me about the ablation. Im gonna take a pass on it too.
Not doing too bad, Granny, thanks for asking. Had a great summer. Fall saw me have a slight relapse on my diverticulitis. Still don't know what caused it. I stick like glue to my diet but obviously my colon didn't like something. Doctor thinks that a lot of my back pain is being caused by digestive tract inflammation. Guess the nerves all interact with one another and inflammation in the gut can cause inflammation in the nerve branches that affect the back.

The rest is good old degenerative disc disease, narrowed innerspaces and arthritis.

I doubled down on the diet, got lots of rest and am on antibiotics and starting to feel better again so hopefully I'm on the right tract.

I may consider the Ablation down the line if the neck pain gets the better of me and meds or PT won't help anymore then I may toss my cards in on it but not now, and not with those odds. But I'll be 70 years old next year and hey, 70 year old skeletons have their issues. God gives me the strength to face them and face them I shall.

Doctor wanted me to start biologic treatment of my osteo again even though my latest dexa scan showed improvement. I said no, and meant no. It was wrecking my quality of life and life is too short as it is without the treatment being as bad as the disease if not worse.

Today was a wasted trip.It wasnt about my hips (thats another dr) but the ablation. In order for my insurance to pay for it I have to first have nerve blocks twice to see if it would even work first. The nerve block lasts 45 mins. then wears off and I would need a driver and they only do Mondays. I would also have to try PT before the ablation. Im not going to put myself thru all that. The ablation according to this dr would last 6 months IF it was successful.
The dr they are sending me to for my hips (28th) is also a surgeon. I havent even had xrays of my hips.
Get x-rays!
