Been kinda quiet around here, Granny. Glad you had a good time with Nancy.
I feel your pain with the shoes. Started out with New Balances. At the time I could find them for around 150 on line. When my podiatrist discovered the arthritis in my feet and the bone spurs on my right foot she suggested HOKA.
Warned me they were cashy. Yep. 190$ I have one pair and I guard them like they are made of real gold. Only wear them off the property, doctor's appointments or picking up groceries. Maybe this suggestion will help. If Nancy has a paypal, get together with her and go on
EBAY. You can find some great buys on shoes that will be kind to your feet, New Balance, Nike, Sketchers, yeah, HOKAS also. She might be able to get them for you and you pay her.
I found a pair of HOKAs on
EBAY that I wear around the farm for about 20$. Not too pretty but I don't feel bad about wearing them out in the poop and the mud. If you go that route make sure you look at the soles for wear.
They also had me get shoes with the rocker soles on them. I was putting too much pressure on middle of my foot and it was irritating the arthritis. The rocker bottoms take the pressure off the middle foot and onto the ball of my foot. Didn't think it would help but by golly it did.
Plus, I wear my moccasins inside and out when it's dry. My feet love my moccasins and when my feet are happy, so am I.
