You betcha! We have a nice big wood stove and plenty of wood to go with it. The stove is a Blaze King that we got 7 years ago. If the wood is properly dry we get very little ashes and a lot of heat. ( It's one of those re-burn ones. Not sure if that makes sense. )

Yes all of it. I have 50 acres of woods to cut in. I usually borrow a wood splitter to split the big pieces.

The air intake works to pull the smoke and other gases back into the fire and burns it. If you have it working properly, there is no visible smoke coming out the chimney. That's how ours works.
