Granny's gone and done it again

Uh oh. From what?
Well. Remember those eggs I said Gracie brought in, rescued from a hidden nest? Three of them ended up cracked, I assumed because they got dropped as she transferred them to me. TheMan wondered if they were all frozen solid so I cracked one into a bowl to see. It was kind of jelled from the cold but pretty quickly it just looked like a normal egg. I heated up some homemade hash for him and me a little later and cooked three eggs on top. One of the eggs was that one we thought might have been frozen. Tasted fine. Well, about 3 am my body rejected it, in no uncertain terms. And then I remembered that that egg had come in already cracked. No idea how long it had been damaged. So .... I shouldn't have eaten it. 🤢🤮 I meant for all those eggs to go to Gracie, I just wasn't thinking.

Not sure..
if she's going to stay in. She's having some health problems. :(
Please thank her for her service. Hope she recovers okay!

We have mushrooms coming up all over from the rain. Pi keeps eating them. I'm so worried he's going to get a poison one.
Ooh, ooh! Maybe you could take him spore hunting and teach him the good from the bad! (You know I have to do this ...) he would be such a FUN GUY to go mushroom hunting with!

OK, had this pop up from 2018..before I lost weight. There's my Scott, and Lisa that passed the year before. My little sis. Both passed in the month of May. Then there's me playing scared I'd The Grinch. 😆View attachment 3356513View attachment 3356512

We are having a lunch with a bunch of hor dourves and finger foods. I am fixing cheese fondue, shrimp cocktail, green salad and veggies, fruit salad, and scalloped potatoes. My sibs are bringing a bunch of other stuff too. There will be too much food, as usual, but it's intentional so dad will have leftovers instead of having to cook.
I love those kind of meals.

Morning all, survived the night. Its -5 and feels like -27 I cant believe I used to go tend chickens in this. I guess some things are a hidden blessing. I sure do miss them though. I have been missing Star a lot lately . She was such a good girl.
Nancy and I saw a big dog on the side of the road yesterday and we didnt know if it had been hit or not so we doubled back to check on it. It took off like a bat from hell. I feel sad for it and all the other animals in this cold. There are a ton of birds on my front porch trying to get out of this wind. They are sitting like the chickens do. squatting to protect their toes, all fluffed up and head under the wing.
