Sour has also had a few Golden Retrievers. His last was a Goldendoodle..who sadly just passed a few months ago.

Do they have a short lifespan? Danes only live to be like 6 yrs. I think.

I think I may have shared this here..not sure, but will..someone here on BYC heard of my Toby passing away like he did..only 4 years old..asked me to pick out a photo and she would draw it for me. I picked the one with on by the stream. First photo of us together. There are some extremely loving, caring folks on this BYC forum. I framed this, it's hanging in my bedroom.

They can live past ten. Mine didn't.

Goldens tend to have a lot of joint pain in their old years. My Grizz was especially bad. Shoulders were Popping in and out..hips bad. I should have put him down a year before..it's so hard. He could barely walk he was in so much pain..even with meds.

yes people here are a different breed. Kindhearted folk for the most part. This is great! I love the pictures Cherry drew for me.
