Granny's gone and done it again

@Cynthia12, please dear lady don't mess around with your heart. You kinda sorta depend on it to live and if it is 'talking to you' and your b/p is too low, PLEASE don't wait around to see what happens. You may not be pleased with the end results. :hugs

Question.

Y'all tried to return something to Amazon lately? Always I've just requested a return authorization and label, they have sent me one and the end.

Well, I bought DH a pair of Carhartt pants from there for Christmas and they didn't fit. They didn't even feel like the 'canvas' material they claim they were made from (knock off from China maybe?)

So I asked for a return authorization and got one. Put the package out for our UPS guy to pick up and he said he couldn't do it. What they had given me was an authorization to return it via a UPS Store. The nearest UPS store he confirmed is 100 miles from here. Ain't gonna happen. Service isn't available so I called customer service again and explained the situation to them. Told them I couldn't use the UPS Store option because there isn't one anywhere near where we live. Nice young lady understood even though English wasn't her first language and gave me a return authorization for a UPS pick up.

Well figured out today when I looked at my refund that they charged me 8$ for the pick up! They had that listed as an option BUT if the first option which is returning the item via a UPS Store which isn't available here, why are they charging customers to pick up the item when it says, eligible for return pick up by Jan 31?

Come on Bezos. You can shoot William Shatners fat arse into space but you are charging people 8$ to pick up their guaranteed full refund requests?

I'm trying to find an customer service email address so I can rip into them. I'd call customer service but am tired of talking to people who barely speak English.
I thought they had a chat/email option online....

Oof that's frustrating.

Thank you. It was scary. Still low BP this morning, but better now. I wasn't shaking today..went out with Austin to get meds and groceries.
Glad you are feeling better. Hope you get checked out, just to be sure.

@Wishing4Wings at this point in time I'd be thrilled to get that hot shower tomorrow!
I grew up in a very old house with a well. We had electric outages enough that you quickly understood that clean running water was a gift, and hot running water was one of the most wondrous things in the world. To this day, I never turn on a faucet without a little thank you to the powers that be.
Hope you get your hot shower soon. Hot tub would still be nice. :D

Little break in the rain, so I went to check out the downed power pole. Met several neighbors with the same idea!

Don't know if it snapped or fell over in the wet ground. Lucky no one was hurt!

You can see the phone line hanging low. You can reach up and touch it. My house is down at the green tree, arrow pointing to my tiny mailbox.

Off to the left behind the houses, I could see some of the lines have snapped. One neighbor had heard that PG&E can't get rigs into the small backyards here, so poles will probably be replaced by helicopter! :barnie No wonder our rates are going through the roof.

I'd hate to be the one trying to figure out that jumble of wires. I guess that's why they make the big bucks.

That looks scary there Wishing.
I fell asleep after everyone left around 4 and just now up. 3.5hr nap.
Nancy said the beans tasted like baked beans. She took some home so I guess they were ok.
Surgeons office called and gave me the appt. of March 7th. Stupid long wait. kinda disappointed with that.

I've gone to the ER a few times when my heart was acting up. I've had two heart ablations..
didn't stop the arrhythmia. They check me out, send me home. Well, a couple of times they'vekept me. Once..Hiking down a trail years ago I started having chest pain. I had forgotten to take my nitro with me..got back to the motor home and used it. It stopped the chest pain, but that stuff gives you instant headache. Scott took me. Anyway, because it worked stopping the pain they kept me. Sent me home next day. Once they did an echo. Looked good. I carry the nitro with me..just in case. They're pretty sure its my esophagus giving me those false heart attack symptoms. No chest pain the last couple of days. My BP is back to normal this evening. :)
