Pretty hen! Does she have some oriental blood in her?

Yes! She a kraienkoppe Malay cross. Her genes are insanely strong in her girls, they are crosd of either Isbar, Svart Hona, or serama/game bantie but you don't really see that in their body type. I would love to find them a rooster simply to keep the thrifty lineage going.
I equally love oriental games and European.

The oriental blood tends to dominate in my experience, even with being only a quarter oriental. The Kraienkoppe isn't really far removed from oriental types either, which will play into preserving the look.

Yeah, you can tell who are related to her here oddly her sons are more blended (and less viscous). I hope to get some orientals after I get pens built and the red pyle oegb settled.

I really wish I had had the property to rescue horses. Some horses are also kept in deplorable conditions.

Yes! That's tucker, Sadie was elsewhere in the pasture. Had to boot them out of the goat pasture so the girls could eat alfalfa in peace.

I also rescued and fostered. Boy, I spent a lot of money helping out dogs. I also got me a dog a few years back from a rescue. They were very good to let me know everything about this dog when I went to look at her. I knew she was older. I knew her health problems. I couldn't help it, I had to have her and help her be happy in her latter years. Here's a photo of my funny bugged eyed litte Abby. Had her for just over a year. She had a great end of life. The folks knew I would take care of her once they knew I rescued. I pretty much did the same for my Gracie I have now. I got her knowing I would be caring for a senior dog. I love her to bits. I can afford to help her. Just renewed some of her meds yesterday. Anyway..here's my Abby that I now have in a pretty urn box. And then Gracie that's doing OK. Abby is black. Gracie black and white. One down..2 to go Cooper is done. He clipped his ear. Cooper is a wriggle worm on the table. It won't show. He's at his favorite place looking out the window. Here's the van out there working on Bella and Gracie now. He brought a new girl along to learn. No she didn't clip Coopers ear..he did.
