Yeah, they will start at whatever is the softest area. Lot of times they just get leftovers from other scavengers.
They are one of the very few birds with a sense of smell.

And "sanitary" is relative. Removing and destroying harmful bacteria from the environment is good. Having one regurgitate on you cause you scared it, not so great. Overall, a very beneficial creature. Much better than those mean black buzzards.

are you worried about something and cant sleep or do you just have problems sleeping?

Just can't sleep. I have had problems with lying awake and thinking, but that problem is slowly fading.
We are on a deep parasite cleanse program right now, maybe that's playing into it.

It's officially called Black Vulture. They are spreading in the US. Very aggressive birds and they will hunt too. Turkey vultures are very passive and do not hunt.
