It's officially called Black Vulture. They are spreading in the US. Very aggressive birds and they will hunt too. Turkey vultures are very passive and do not hunt.

Not yet, but they are expanding their territory and pushing the turkey vultures out. Hope they don't make it over the Sierra.

2 cats. First time in a few years we had this. Usually Bandit and one cat Nugget work together to catch them. Last time Robert caught it in a cup and put it outside after the cat played with it for a while.
