Granny's gone and done it again

The hole from the stump removal is pretty much filled in. Will likely sink a bit as it settles. Hubby has been busy splitting wood from the giant Tulip tree for firewood next year.
Yesterday i cleaned more bedding out of the barn, and planted more seeds in the goat forage area.

I've heard of shortages for several medications. Albutrerol is one.
This country has to get back to doing our own manufacturing of critical items, like medications.
It's only the albutrerol in the nebulizers....the puffer ones are still good (thank gosh), or at least that's what the news tells me. Which is still bad news bears for emergency situations or littles/people who can't use conventional puffers.
IDK His a1c was 12.9 last drs visit.
That's high.
dr asked him to go see the dietitian. He refused saying he knows what he can and cant eat. He likes meat. eats a lot of beef sticks. It makes it even harder because we barely cook.
Then he needs to learn how to. There's lots of cookbooks out there, youtube tutorials, etc. If he likes his meat, he could try something keto-ish.
Yep. No one should drink soda, I do have a diet once in a while.
I can't do the sweeteners. But...as far as soda goes, it's once in a blue moon.

Yep. This Year of Kat (I'm stealing a saying from when Bossman turned 50 and it was the Year of BossMan) I'm turning into a feral housewife. lol
I didn’t want to go out this morning  it was -4c (24f).
Our weather is just all over at the moment here in the UK. Then again being from the UK I’m never happy unless I’m moaning about the weather
Brisk!
Speckled Sussex and Columbian Wyandottes. They had no polish available. At least these are sexed.
NUGGETS!!!!! You're getting nuggets!!!!!! I'm soooo getting more nuggets next go around.

I miss sparkles nugget.

Granny - see if you can find an airline crate on fb marketplace or used somewhere. Check with some rescues/humane societies they may have some resources that can help you. Peach - first three years she had to be in an empty crate when I wasn't home - she also was one with the separation anxiety. Blankets/pads would be ripped up if left in there. Remember - this pup just went through a huge scary change - there will ALWAYS be an adjustment period.

Get some kongs and some wet dog food. (or peanut butter - just avoid anything with xyletol or however you spell it - I just go for wet food cause it might be a little more nutritious than straight up PB lol), Stuff those kongs. Freeze em. It's a good boredom buster and treat while she's in the crate.

She's not to be trusted yet because 1. you're just getting to know her 2. she's getting to know her boundaries/her role in the pack and if she's not tethered to Robert or under DIRECT SUPERVISION she needs to be in the crate. Careful tethering her to things though - because she's shown she has a penchant to escape, and she can hurt herself or something else doing so.

Potty training - some dogs are subtle. Very subtle. Had to hang bells for Peach. Goose has no shame, he will straight up whack the door lol. Again, as you get to know her, Robert should be able to tell what's going on.

Positive reinforcement. Work on basic obedience - and use lots of treats. Cut up hot dogs, cheese, etc. whatever she loves.

As she gets solid with the basics, add in the distractions (other dogs, kitties) and amp up the treat value when she pays attention to Robert (or whoever is handling her) instead of them.

It's a lot adding in a new dog to an existing household. It's a lot too when the new dog is a bit older/bigger/perhaps isn't the most submissive (though if she was super submissive you'd have to deal with submissive pee which is a whole other ball of wax).

In other news, just ordered myself a new tank for my "office" betta. The one he's in now, the filter is built in and much too strong, so it's either not on (which doesn't do a lot of good) or he's letting himself get sucked into it...I tried putting a big fake plant in front of it which seems to be working for now....but...I got a bunch of plants for my big tank (redecorated that, will post pictures shortly - figured now was the time since all I have left in there are a few amano shrimp, a bamboo shrimp, and my otocinclius - will give it a chance to settle and likely add some more fishies when we're back from Sacramento - FIL is getting hitched) sooo...I ordered this. 40 bucks out the door taxes and all and has the planting substrate...why not. Can't really beat that. Have some leftover plants so...away we go. Unfortunately, it looks like timers don't work with it's light...so if I set it up early, I may have to jig something else up while we're gone.

Well, I suppose I should get out of the jammie jams, toss some food in me, and take Goose out for an adventure somewhere...it's supposed to start raining again tonight...ugh. There's a leak in Rojo (that's the little coupe volvo we got a while back that needed a new engine....that hubs wanted to do so I would have a "fun" and "more modern" commuter....ok yay I'll have cupholders lol) so....at some point I need to attack the entire interior of the car with some vinegar solution cause...MOLD HAS HAPPENED. UGH!!!

Howdy all, Im so very tired and sore. Ive been in this chair for 2 nights now and some broken sleep.
Prostar, Thank you for all that info. Unfortunately I cant stop the fighting. It was pretty graphic 3 times. Jerri was tethered to Robert the last time and he didnt know what to do. I was able to get between them and break it up. It was pretty scary. We made a mistake with her. It is heartbreaking but she cant stay crated. It will drive her nuts and she goes crazy when I leave the room despite Robert being the one caring for her.
Tanks look great BTW.
