Granny's gone and done it again

Evening, all. Our power went out last night at 6:32 and didn't come back on until after midnight. Very un-handy.

Whoever said these were the golden years needs to eat those words
No, they're true. You better have a lot of gold to make it through these years. My dad told me that snd he was right!

Vicki is coming over tomorrow to wash wall in an apartment then I can paint. They smoked and pretty sure it wasn't just ciggys.
If it was pot, it smells like skunk.

Robert got his money back from the shelter where he adopted Jerri. We were both shocked.
That's wonderful news!

Yikes! And I thought mine were ugly! I think I have 4 cockerels and two pullets. One in particular pecks me every chance he gets and has since about Day Three. No worries, my freezer is empty.

Notice the spider on one of the petals.View attachment 3451121
Not sure that's a real spider, it only seems to have 6 legs. It's real cute, though, and the flower is lovely. If it weren't occupied (and so far away), I'd stick my nose in it and sniff it!

Folks at church this morning told us the storm was headed right toward us (and Sammy said so, too!), then it apparently split and went around us. Must've been a doozy, Sammy does not like storms but I have never seen him as agitated as he was yesterday evening. I was about to give him a Benedryl and then he just calmed down.

And were going to hit 90 over the weekend.
We're expecting 70 which is s bit high for us, especially when we had a morning low of about 30 just a few days ago. A bunch of my daffodils got bit but the redbud trees are just coming on and they seem to be okay.

I’ve always fancied an Irish wolf hound. But.... they are very big and very pricey to buy.

I'm in the market for a Golden retriever. Male. Preferably not a puppy.
