Granny's gone and done it again

Went to bed at 3:30, and got up at 6:30. Took dog to vet, got staples out. Dropped off books at the library. Got paint brushes for hubby. He is putting tar on some 4x4s to preserve them once they become fence posts.
Your gonna need a nap!

morning, I know your right. I just hate to not let him get a dog. It helped him when Jerri was here with his depression and sugar
Just realize you will be in charge and you will have to tell him what to do. Hopefully the novelty of the the experience will not wear off. Even I question myself when I keep a puppy and realize how much work they are. It is worth it in the long run but it is like having a toddler in the house with sharp teeth. Are you going to be able to take them an obedience class once a week. I think that is very important so he can learn how to train.

I don’t mean to bossy or mean. I am just telling you what I would tell anyone getting a dog or puppy.

Just tell me to stop and I will quit giving you advice

but he is mastiff hound mix. Shouldnt that make a difference?
It depends on what type of mastiff and what type of hound. Some are huge and others are just big. That pup already has a thinning muzzle, so less likely that drool will be a big problem.

She is beautiful. The hound look is most prominent to me... except for the shorter ears. Any puppy is going to be a lot of work. But any new dog you add is going to be a lot of work.
What size crate did Robert get? I think that pup will be minimum 60 lbs.

This is so important. Puppies are almost irresistible, and it makes us forget what a huge impact they have on our daily lives. I love my Pi dearly, but he certainly has been more work than I anticipated. It is like having a toddler... needs constant attention and supervision.
