Granny's gone and done it again

Welp, the quantity of quail eggs made the egg turner not work. Ended up taking the turner out entirely so now I’m hand turning.
Remember a hen doesn't turn each individual egg. I've done large batches and I just stick my hand in and swirl.

Buckeye was hatched 4/28, the 2 blondes were hatched 5/1 and 5/9. I feel like they are huge but only cause I remember them being small. My girls are friendly, my boys are more stand offish. I hope they become as friendly as Buckeye, some days they are more curious than others.
They look huge to me and not even 2 months old. They must eat like horses!
What do you feed them? Are they grazers?

The idea of neutering a very young dog has fallen out of favor. Studies are showing that allowing the dogs to experience their hormones makes them healthier and less inclined to some diseases and skeletal problems. A lot more studies need to be done, but you can imagine the effect on a person of having their gonads removed as a child... it wouldn't be great.

I've never had an unaltered dog either. Pi is over a year now and he is low key so far, so I may just leave him au naturale. I'm open to getting a female, but will not breed, so a rescue female that's already been spayed is an option rather than a puppy. I'm not in a hurry.
Yes, a bit older but it's good to have a female spayed. Less chance of cancer. :)

yeah. That’s what I’m doing now. Honestly it gives me more peace of mind. I’m kinda paranoid about egg turners in general…totally without reason though

Ugh yes, so at first I fed them ratite starter. Then when I got the boys the breeder told me a mix of rabbit feed and chick starter, and sprinkle rooster booster and grit on it. I've went through 100lb so far. They are snackers, but aren't outside yet except short trips.

I like a good upright one. I hate those flat ones.

Huh, interesting. You mean one of the ones that requires putting the eggs in vertically? I’ve never had a turner like that, the only one I’ve used is the horizontal one.
