I used to live in Florida. Fernandina Beach.I was in S Central FL at the time. I haven't seen them but every so often I hear Bob White here in S AL at our place. I hope the feral cats don't wipe them out.
There was a day..I miss riding.Grandson's first trail ride.

I cheat these days. Reminds me, I should probably bake one that's in there. I haven't for a while.View attachment 3563749
Not mine. Your welcome. Hahahaa
They act dumb don't they? I hatched some Buttons once. Made a nice place for them inside. Those things hopped around like pop corn popping. When you think about it, it's probably a great survival thing. Especially when in groups. A predator would go crazy trying to catch them. The main thing I’ve noticed is that they are a lot dumber than chickensOtherwise similar in terms of care. Oh and also…they fly
I didn’t estimate that part correctly the first time I had quail.
Yes!They hatch like popcorn!
I loved the Tuxedos.9 have hatched and 27 are either zipping or have pipped. The white one is the latest hatch. I hope we get more white ones! My favorite so far is the silver but he’s not in the pic. The tuxedo is a fun lil guy too.View attachment 3564127
Here too. My poor Cooper. I give him melatonin but it doesn't work. I've tried different things the past couple of years. He was fine up until three years ago when he was out going potty and someone let off a huge firework! It exploded right over our house. Loud. Boy Cooper practically flew to the door. Gets scared ever since. My other two are fine.lots of fire works going off here!
I did, but couldn't get a good reading, seemed very thin. And you were adding motor oil? Hope you checked the dipstick first.
