Granny's gone and done it again

So tired. I told Robert we need to keep grocery bill under $400, It was $379.
The store was packed. I knew it would be. I had to park far away. I just dont know how Im doing this.
I completely understand. On both accounts. I just went out but got nothing done but fill a watering station and put out some scrambled eggs for the kids and came back in. The thing that hurts the most is that $400 doesn't buy much anymore. Rice, beans, pasta, .......... Fresh vegetables and lean meats blows $400 quick for the month for just 2 old folks. 4 loaves of bread cost me just under $20 at Walmart today. The kind of bread my body will tolerate. Plain white bread is a no-no now.

I bet you have a lot of eggs to feed back to your critters huh?

I wish I could really enjoy eggs the way my wife does. I just never acquired a taste for them except for some every so often as deviled eggs with a slice of pickled jalapeno on top.
I adore fresh eggs.
