Granny's gone and done it again

They always look for another buck. Usually they try and tell me belts if I stop on the road for an oil change. Once they tried to pull that and I had a new belt that was still very new.

Good morning to everyone. I managed to get everyone fed and watered again. I have to consider selling all the chickens except for a few pets and research birds to lesson my walking. I want to keep my White Jersey Giants, Dark Cornish, and Bresse. The rest are easily replaced if I am ever able to care for them again.
I can sympathize, but it seems no one is buying these days.

Sigh. The dealership that has my truck says the fuel lines need to be replaced. But of course, it will take an extra week to get them. Much cheaper and easier to do while the transmission is not installed. But since hubby is leaving on the 23rd, we can't have it done because i need transportation while he is gone. I had a feeling there would be more issues.
I'd be suspicious

So .... GirlChild was driving the '14 Chevy Sonic to town last week and it just died on her. She was able to get to the side of the road but could not get it to start again. Terrified she had run it out of oil or something equally catastrophic, I told her to sit tight and called AAA to come tow it to the dealership. When they were able to diagnose it a week later they said it needs a new battery and alternator, to the tune of about $780. If they also do all the fluids (oil WAS low) and tire rotation, we're looking at over $850. Does this sound right to you guys? Oh, and also I asked about a credit for the alternator core and the gal on the phone in the service dept acted like I was speaking a foreign language. This surprised me, as I have had an alternator replaced once before and there was definitely a credit for letting them have the old alternator core. What do you guys think? Am I about to get ripped off? Should I seek a second opinion?
Oof.

No sign of Granny since 11 this morning. Hope all went well with her doc appointment and she is getting some relief and her strength back.
Yes, hopefully. Lots of times on doctoring days, she don't check back in until late afternoon, early evening.

Well. Bitties were hiding out inside the big girls coop proper. Big girls were hanging out inside the coop but outside the coop proper (where food/water is)

It’s freakin hot. IMG_2172.jpeg IMG_2168.jpeg IMG_2173.jpeg
